If you installed the SCT device updater before you plugged the device in then this should be easy to fix.
With your device connected:
Open your computers Device Manager.
Look for a device that is not installed like one with a yellow exclamation mark. (Here is a screenshot of what you are looking for.)
If you see this, right click it and select update driver.
A new window should open up and give you the option to either automatically search, or browse for files.
Click browse for files
Navigate to the folder you downloaded, and select “Open”.
If you did this correctly, it’ll tell you your drivers have successfully been updated and once you click “OK” you should see something similar to the picture below.
Now your communication should work between the device and the computer. With most devices, you will want to unplug it and plug it back in and restart the device updater. Then click “Display Device Settings and Serial” and if the serial number shows up, it is communicating.

Basic Steps to Update a GT Tuner
1. Run the Update Agent.
2. Connect the Micro SD card to your computer.
3. Choose the vehicle application and let the Agent search.
4. Click the Update button.
5. When the Update is finished, put the Micro SD card in the GT.
6. Update the GT Platinum from the SD card by choosing Update GT Software, or Update GT Firmware on the Main Menu. (option will be all the way at the bottom of the main menu.)

To install the Bully Dog Light Duty Update Agent please open the following link. Then open and run the file.

Guys, I created my account here so I could ask this question: I was just able to analyze Synology Drive application for Linux (v2.0.3-11102, but same applies for v3.0.0-12467 for what I’ve checked) and I’m baffled that nobody else mentioned it here.
I don’t think it’s a problem with the package provided here, but rather with the application itself. Since you all most likely also USE it, I though it’d be a good place to ask, as I couldn’t find it when searching the web.
Do any of you also noticed that the Synology Drive application (for Linux only!) doesn’t sync some very specific filetypes? I investigated this deep, first by looking into the application logs on ~/.SynologyDrive/log and realizing that it was denying syncing such files by saying:
I continued my investigation and found ~/.SynologyDrive/data/db/filter.sqlite. Upon playing around with the Filter option available on the GUI, I could pinpoint that it was adding the entries to the table filter_table. That’s when I got confirmation that Synology is explicitly blocking A LOT of filetypes on the Linux client. Not only I can’t upload such files to Drive but my client also doesn’t download them due to the filters.
These are the filetypes I see on that table: .aac, .aif, .aifc, .aiff, .ape, .au, .cdda, .dff, .doc, .docx, .dsf, .eaac, .epub, .flac, .htm, .html, .kar, .key, .l16, .lnk, .m3u, .m4a, .m4b, .m4p, .mid, .midi, .mobi, .mp1, .mp2, .mp3, .mpc, .mpga, .numbers, .odp, .ods, .odt, .ogg, .pages, .pcm, .pdf, .pls, .pps, .ppsx, .ppt, .pptx, .pqp, .prc, .pst, .ra, .ram, .snd, .swp, .temp, .tmp, .tta, .txt, .vqf, .wav, .wma, .xls, .xlsx.I noticed this exactly when I realized that no PDF or ODT files were being neither fetched from my NAS nor being sent to it.
Keep in mind that I tried to manually delete them from the database on-the-fly, but it doesn’t help. And upon closing and opening the application, that table is repopulated with those entries (plus any manual exclusions one can put in place from the GUI).I even tried to delete those entries and add an immutable extended attribute to the filter.sqlite file before starting the application, but that makes it crash on startup.

Hi, I was using Synology Cloud Station Backup but it seems like Synology Drive is a replacement for that app. However, with this app, after introducing the address and credentials to connect to the Synology, the screen to choose the directories to backup it’s shown with wrong colors. Everything is dark and only when I put the mouse on top of a folder I can read the name of the directory. Anyone else having same issue? It’s like the color scheme is totally wrong. The 1394ohci.sys bus driver is a single (monolithic) device driver, implemented by using the kernel-mode driver framework (KMDF). The legacy 1394 bus driver (available in earlier versions of Windows) includes multiple device drivers that were implemented by using the Windows Driver Model (WDM) in a port/miniport configuration. The 1394ohci.sys bus driver replaces the legacy port driver, 1394bus.sys, and the primary miniport driver, ochi1394.sys.
The new 1394ohci.sys bus driver is fully backward compatible with the legacy bus driver. This topic describes some of the known differences in behavior between the new and the legacy 1394 bus driver.

In 1394ohci.sys, this structure remains at the same location as in the legacy 1394 bus driver, but the nonstatic members of the structure might not be valid. When a client driver uses the new 1394 bus driver, they must make sure that the data accessed in NODE_DEVICE_EXTENSION is valid. The static members of NODE_DEVICE_EXTENSION that contain valid data are Tag, DeviceObject, and PortDeviceObject. All other members NODE_DEVICE_EXTENSION are nonstatic, which the client driver must not reference.Gap Count Optimization
The default behavior of the 1394ohci.sys bus driver is to optimize the gap count when it finds only IEEE 1394a devices on the 1394 bus, excluding the local node. For example, if the system that is running 1394ohci.sys has a host controller that complies with IEEE 1394b but all devices on the bus comply with IEEE 1394a, then the new 1394 bus driver tries to optimize the gap count.
Gap count optimization occurs only if the 1394ohci.sys bus driver determines that the local node is the bus manager.
The 1394ohci.sys bus driver determines whether a device complies with IEEE-1394a by the speed setting in the node’s self-id packet. If a node sets both of the bits in the speed (sp) field in the self-id packet, then 1394ohci.sys considers the node to comply with IEEE-1394b. If the speed field contains any other value, then 1394ohci.sys considers the node to comply with IEEE-1394a. The gap count value that is used is based on table E-1 in the IEEE-1394a specification, which provides the gap count as a function of hops. The 1394ohci.sys bus driver does not compute the gap count.
